Live Foods

Much of what I would like to say is already in a great book by Dr. Anthony J. Cichoke entitled "The Complete Book Of Enzyme Therapy", 1999, Avery Publishing Group, New York. This book discusses the reasons we should eat "live" foods and what we may do to make many of the fermented and pickled food products which I have mentioned in the previous chapters. He goes on to describe detoxification and complementary therapies for dealing with a host of disease symptoms. Well worth reading and using as a reference.

Go to your library and search out the books and references which will allow you to follow your own path in learning to take care of yourself. Then go to the bookstore and buy those which you feel will assist you in your efforts. Take the time to learn how to sprout seeds, build the sprouter trays, etc. which will enable you to eat healthy live foods every meal! Many of the seeds that you get in the markets, whether an alternative food source or the normal supermarket, will not sprout. I have found that foods seeds obtained from an asian market sprout very well.

The next step is to learn to eliminate as many of the "dead" foods as possible in a gradual manner and try some of the detoxification routines if necessary. Canned meats seem to cause food stagnation. Stay away from canned goods in general but fruit actually seems to benefit the body more by being cooked. Be aware that frozen foods have no Vitamin E and use a good high quality oil like Walnut Oil to supplement your Vitamin E intake. There is a wealth of information out there for the asking!

Be sensible in your efforts and be mindful that we are animals in need of proper nutrition. Having unrealistic goals is counterproductive. Learn the way to obtain your long-term nutritional goals that will lead to a healthy body, mind and emotional life. Let not your spiritual aspirations cloud your judgment as to the health of your body. Our body is our Earthly temple in this incarnational round.
